2019 INFINITI QX60 vs. 2019 Cadillac XT6 | Competition INFINITI of Smithtown

2019 INFINITI QX60 vs. 2019 Cadillac XT6

The 2019 Cadillac XT6 has been praised for its evolutionary styling, automatic breaks and cylinder shutdown system which conserve fuel. How does it compare to the 2019 INFINITI QX60, a well-balanced automobile that has a regal interior and formidable power?

Design & Style

The QX60 comes in the Pure and Luxe trim, both of which are pleasing to the eyes, due to the chrome accents and profile which highlight the proportions and impressive hood. The best seats are in front, but those sitting in back will also be quite comfortable. The Cadillac XT6 comes in two trims, which are Sport and Premium Luxury. The exterior has sharpened angles with a frame that is upright. It uses a mesh grille similar to the XT4 with a floating badge in front and rear taillights which are vertically oriented. Inside, each surface is covered with natural wood and leather which is soft.

Technology & Safety

The XT6 is equipped with the industry’s latest safety countermeasures, such as pedestrian detection, emergency automatic brakes, parking sensors, night vision camera, surround view and lane control which is active. Additional amenities include USB and cub holders for each row, wireless chargers, seats which can be heated or cooled, and even an air freshener. The INFINITI QX60 has been given four and five star ratings for the protection it offers against rollovers, as well as its side impact protection. It also has blind area monitoring, systems for stability control, airbags for every passenger and the ProAssist suite which is designed to aid drivers further. It has 5 USB ports for charging, seats that can be heated, and eight inch infotainment displays.

The QX60 comes equipped with a 3.5 liter V6 powertrain that gives it 295 horsepower that works in conjunction with an automatic transmission that is continuously variable. It has front wheel drive with the option to add all wheel drive for an additional fee. It can tow a maximum of 5,000 pounds, which is more than enough for most families. The Cadillac XT6 comes with a 3.6 liter V6 engine that features an automatic transmission that is nine speed. It produces 310 horsepower and can tow a maximum of 4,000 pounds.

The Bottom Line

The Cadillac XT6 and INFINITI QX60 are well matched, so much so that deciding between them can be tough. However, the Cadillac has a few things working against it. Aside from the fact it tows a thousand pounds less than the QX60, it also has a third row which is small and it doesn’t yet use SuperCruise, so the INFINITI wins.
