2017 INFINITI Q60 VS. 2017 CADILLAC ATS | Competition INFINITI of Smithtown

When you are looking for a small luxury coupe, the 2017 INFINITI Q60 and 2017 Cadillac ATS are two standouts, which is why car buyers in St. James New York find it hard to pick between the two. Find out why the Q60 beats the ATS hands-down.

Design & Style

The INFINITI Q60 just looks gorgeous, with its aesthetically pleasing sloped roof, smart lines, and cool angles. Step inside the cabin and relax in the leatherette (vinyl) seats with their eight-way power adjusted positions complete with lumbar adjustment; the seats are also heated, as is the steering wheel. Dual-zone automatic temperature control will maintain the perfect temperature for you and your passengers while a 13-speaker premium Bose sound system will entertain them. The Q60 is also fitted with INFINITI’s InTouch system, which has voice guidance, lane guidance, and 3D building graphics.

The Cadillac coupe is certainly an eye-catcher too, with its distinctive looks that appear all chiseled. Inside the cabin, it is all wood, leather, and metal, while an upgrade will get you 10-way power adjusted heated front seats. There is the CUE infotainment system, with its 8.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.

Technology & Safety

The Cadillac is fitted with the standard array of safety features, such as airbags and stability control systems. You will have to take the Premium package, in order to get forward collision warning, active lane control, and blind spot monitors. Again, the Q60 has the normal array of safety features, and it is also fitted with Active Trace Cover, blind-spot monitoring, and lane departure warning. An addition to the Q60 is its Direct Adaptive Steering, which constantly, and automatically, makes adjustments to your steering.

The Q60 is fitted with a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 engine, that pulls 208 horsepower with 258 lb-ft of torque. There is also a twin-turbo V.6 version, with a 3-liter engine pulls 400 horsepower, with 350 lb-ft of torque. Both are driven by a seven-speed automatic transmission on rear wheel drive. The Cadillac has a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine that pulls 272 hp with 296 lb-ft of torque and can be paired with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Bottom Line

Overall it is obvious to see that the Q60 is the car of choice. When it comes to comfort while driving, the INFINITI is second to none, while performance is up there with the best of them. With the Cadillac, there will be a tendency to have to purchase packages to get the technology that you require.
